Research
My thesis research
involves predictive modeling of enterococcus
concentrations following rainfall at South Carolina Tier I beaches. These models were developed for
the purpose of providing a decision support tool for issuing preemptive
swimming advisories.

Interests
My professional interests
include: statistical and process modeling, fresh and marine water quality
issues, development of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL), and geographic
information science. My personal interest is in sewing and art quilting.

Biographical
Information
I have a B.S. in Marine Science from
USC’s Honor’s College. I am currently pursuing an MS in
Environmental Health Sciences at USC’s
Arnold School of Public Health.
I began working for the Department of Health and Environmental
Control in the Bureau of Water shortly after finishing my undergraduate
degree. I have worked in the
Recreational Waters program and as the Beach Monitoring program manager. I currently work in the Water
Quality Modeling Section.
