Visiting research, academic, & public groups
The Institute welcomes visiting individuals and groups including faculty and students from academic institutions, secondary school classes, government regulatory personnel, and other organizations to our coastal facility (Baruch Marine Field Laboratory). Whether research, education, or training is the purpose of your visit, a little planning is necessary because access to the privately owned Hobcaw Barony is controlled. The information needed to schedule a visit and to arrange the needed resources can be found here on our Visitors page. Engaging the public through programs, activities, and outreach allows this constituency to experience the property while protecting sensitive habitats and ongoing research activities. Information about public programs and opportunities is provided under the North-Inlet Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
